Press Release, December 5, 2009 Craft Fair

The elves at the Unitarian Universalist Church are busy getting ready for their 8th annual Holiday Craft Fair.  On December 4, grab a friend and visit the Fair taking place in their handicapped accessible hall located at 326 Main Street in Wakefield.  The doors will be open to the public from 9 a.m. through 1 p.m.

This year’s annual craft sale will be the best place for shoppers to find gifts they cannot find elsewhere. A diverse group of home crafters are ready to provide shoppers with a wide variety of unique gifts for the home and for that hard-to-shop-for person or pet on your list.  You will find unique gifts for children, including Usborne Books, amazing Bookflip bookmarks and other hand made items for children.  Quilled note cards, hand made soaps and lotions, photographs and one-of-a-kind tote bags are a few of the items you will find.

There will also be herb pillows; lovely hand knit items and a variety of jewelry.  And if you are looking for special hostess gifts, don’t miss out on the homemade jams and jellies to take with you when you are visiting family and friends this holiday season.

The UU elves have been busy making a number of crafts themselves in order to raise funds for the church.  Many fleece items such as hand warmers, hats, scarves, and wraps will be for sale plus ponchos and hand warmers for children.  New this year are “Boo-Boo Bunnies” and lovely handmade note cards featuring Wakefield scenes. Our Unique Boutique table has high-end velvet scarves and hats, table linens and girls' capes to name a few. And, as always, there will be a number of raffles

While you are there, you can warm up to a cup of coffee or hot cocoa and a treat at our bake sale.  There will be lots of tasty treats for sampling or gift giving.  For more information about the fair please contact Gwenn Therrien at (781) 224-0624 (GwennT39@gmail.com).
